Fall Soccer Season

Our 2nd soccer season just ended, and I can't help but be a little sad.  We had such a fantastic team this year!  And these kids have come along SO FAR!  We went from not even wanting to play soccer to really looking forward to a game.

Abby has shown the most improvement and even scored a goal during our indoor practice in which we had a game adults vs. kids.  She was SO proud of herself.  It really helped with her confidence.

Josh surprised me because he actually tried harder and did great!  Jack shows great potential, but doesn't try as hard.  It may not be his thing, and that is just fine!
We knew lots of kids on the team, and our old preschool classmate's dad was the coach.  He was so in tune with the kids and we could not have had a better coach.  It was so nice to have practice just minutes from our house.  Some nights were pretty cold!

The final practice and game were held at Soccer City.  The kids had a great time!

The big decision for next year is whether to switch them to their school's soccer program.  Soon there will be no co-ed teams.  We could see lots of aggression from other teams and big differences between boys and girls.  Abby and Piper were the only girls on the team this year, but they held their own.  I think it would be a good idea to have them play with their classmates, but we will miss our local team!
