Nature Walk

The day was too beautiful to stay inside, so we went to the Schaumburg nature center. We walked the trails, then walked through the forest to get to the farm.

The kids LOVED the trail! 

They loved exploring various trails and especially loved this one because it led to this pond.

We literally had to run through the forest because the mosquitos were terrible! They were swarming! We then made it to the farm. We went to the barn to see the cows and horses. We also toured the old house and the kids learned what it was like before electricity!

The volunteers on the farm are so kind. Abby really wanted to see the piggies, and a man told us all about the new babies. He also let us go upstairs in the barn and see the view. He was also nice enough to take our picture.

We had such a wonderful time at the nature center. Of course, we had to stop at DQ on the way home ;)
