Brooklyn's Baptism

On Sunday, we had Brooke Baptized and had a small party afterwards. We kept it to Godparents and immediate family.  

The Godfather is my cousin's son, Marcel.  He is in high school and is a great kid!  Can't believe how grown up he looks in his suit ;)

The Godmother is Chris's cousin, Christine.  She is amazing with children and was very close to Chris while they were growing up.

Amazingly, Brooke wore the same outfit Chris did for his Baptism.  It is a beautiful crochet dress, hat, and a blanket.  So nice to have something that is passed down!

There were 3 other families present all with babies.  The priest said that in his experience, girls do better  getting Baptized so he wanted the two girls to go first.  So, all the pressure was on Brooke not to cry!

Of course, Brooke did not disappoint.  She didn't mind at all!

In fact, none of the other kids cried either!  It was a very nice service.  We posed for the church newsletter, and then we took tons of family pics.

Afterwards, we headed back to our house for some food and cake.  We are so thankful to have such wonderful people in our lives!
