Birthdays and Thanksgiving

November is quite busy around here.  It's also our favorite time of year.  The kids especially love to decorate for the holidays.

First, we celebrated my birthday.  Grandma Cleys made a delicious chocolate cake and the kids helped me blow out my candles.

Chris took Josh to Jewel to buy a card and other grocery items.  Josh suggested he buy me some flowers.  Daddy told him to keep it a secret.  As soon as Josh walked in the door, he proceeded to tell me that he bought me a surprise.  I then told him not to tell me what it was, but Josh went ahead and told me anyway.  So funny!

 We usually have Thanksgiving at my aunt's house, but since she was out of town and Cousin Caroline was having a baby, Thanksgiving was moved to my house.  And the day before was spent crazy cleaning!

Everything turned out great and we are so happy to welcome my cousin's baby, Elise, to the family.  So happy that Brooke will have a playmate who is the same age!

To finish off the month, we celebrated Chris's birthday.  He wasn't home to celebrate, but Grandma Cleys made him a delicious cake when he came home.

We are busy getting ready for Christmas!
