First Snow of the Season

Well, we finally had our first snow storm here in Chicago. It wasn't as big as last year, but it did make for some fun outside. The only bad things were the cold temps and the blowing snow.

Thankfully, we don't go out to play in the snow everyday. Do you know how long it takes to get 3 toddlers fully dressed for this weather? Probably longer than we actually stayed outside!

Abby was all about the snow. She wanted to stay outside as long as she could and she didn't mind sitting in the snow.

Josh, on the other hand, would not come out until his bucket was readily available for play.

And then the snow castle building started...

I didn't want to keep the kids outside for too long. It was late afternoon, and the temps were dropping. As soon as they came inside and shed all their clothing, they enjoyed some hot chocolate. Not too bad for January! Maybe next time they'll help Daddy shovel ;)
