Is There Such A Thing As Too Much Candy?

Saturday we went to the first birthday party of Ethan & Caleb. The theme was animals and Abby was immediately won over when she spotted a hippo on the table. She actually collected like 4 of those things!

Jamie had many activities for the kids, but they mostly just stuck by Chris and me the entire time. They did venture off to do a little bit of this:

And when it was time to eat, they devoured everything in sight. They managed to eat 4 hot dogs and lots and lots of chips!

But they had the most fun with this:

Can you guess why? They each took turns swinging with one hand. Later on, after most of the guests left and we still remained, Jamie took out the other pinata and they had some more fun. This time they filled their bags to the top with candy. And wouldn't you know, right away they started eating, and eating, and eating some more.

All in all, the kids had a great time and so did we. It was great catching up with everybody. The drive home was a bit tough because the kids just wanted more candy. I finally had to take away their bags.

Once we got home, we somehow managed to get them to sit still for a couple of more pics.

First thing the kids did when they woke up the next morning...ask for their candy bags!
