The Boys' 1st T-Ball Game

We signed the boys up for t-ball because they have never been in an activity other than classes.  Chris and I were both a little afraid that they wouldn't want to participate.  Abby is our team gal!  Well, we were partially right.  They've been going to practices on Tuesdays and Saturdays and let's just say that is one lonnnggg hour!  There is a lot of complaining, standing around, playing in the dirt, water breaks, etc.

But, they did great at their first game!!!  Chris was working and could not attend, so I had to be on the field with them the whole time.  My parents came to watch Brooke and Abby at the game.  Let me tell ya, it was hard to get the boys to pay attention when Grandpa is around!  He had specific instructions to not go to the park so they wouldn't miss out!

My cuties in their baseball gear.  For some reason in this pic, Josh looks way taller.

First, we did a little throwing and catching practice in the field.  The boys are still learning, but are getting the hang of it.

I can't help but smile when watching them.  Whenever the ball comes towards them, they duck or move out of the way.  Hopefully they do not have my athletic ability!
A little meeting before the game.  Go Muckdogs!

Josh's first time at bat.  We need to work on the stance.  Both the boys were a little unsure about where to run even though we told them over and over again.  They also were kinda jogging there as if in no hurry.
Jack at bat.  That kid can swing!
After every turn, they would ask me if they were done yet.  I think for the next game they will get a better feel for how the game works.  By the way, t-ball is an hour game.  That is just the right amount of time!
Waiting in line to give high fives.  I think Jack is thinking, when is snack time?
