These were the favorites from our trip to the zoo last Wednesday. It was such a beautiful day that we decided to go straight from our park district class. We chose the perfect day to go because the weather has been lousy since!
The zoo is never crowded during the week as there are very few field trips and there's mostly moms walking their babies in strollers.
One great thing this time is that the kids are more aware of the animals since they absolutely adore their animal figurines. One bad thing about this time of year is that many exhibits are closed due to cleaning. And, there are no elephants there!!!
We took our trusty wagon. We had to make sure to write our last name on it because the zoo rents out similar ones. Some exhibits allowed us to take it in while others we parked it and the kids walked. They did great!
Sometimes I think they get more excited about the snacks!

My fave were the dolpins.
Of course, you can guess the reason why they liked that exhibit!
We stopped at the park before heading home. Always got to watch out for the big kids there.
All in all, another good trip to the zoo. Can't wait till more animals are returned to their exhibits so we can visit and learn even more!

ReplyDeleteThe one time I took the kids to the zoo this year, they also were a lot more into it than they were last year. It'll be a great place to be this spring/summer.
