Halloween Library Parade

Today we went to our local library for story time and a parade. This was the first time the kids tried on their costumes. They weren't so crazy about wearing the hat part. One thing we know, no matter how cold it gets on Halloween, their costumes will keep them warm!

Don't be fooled by all the smiling in the picture. Abby just finished crying and Chris was throwing candy into their buckets to get them to laugh.
Once at the library, the kids turned into their usual public selves, shy. Abby met a little friend (turns out I went to school with her mom) who sat next to us while the boys hung out reading a book somewhere in the library with Dad. The librarians were dressed up in costumes which made the stories more interesting.

Then it was time for the costume parade. We did a lap around the library waving to everyone.

We then made some bats as a craft. Yeah, of course our bats were backwards because I am that crafty!
The poor kids were sweating by the time we left. Thankfully, all the other Halloween activities this weekend will be outside!
