Our Trip to Michigan-Day 1

Chris had a couple of days off, so we decided to visit my cousin, Caroline, in Michigan. The weather was beautiful and we knew the foliage would be awesome. Plus, we definitely wanted to visit more pumpkin farms!

The ride there was uneventful. The kids watched some movies and took a nap. It took us about 5 hours with one stop at McDonald's and one potty stop. At the small town McDonald's, we were quite famous. So many employees and customers came up to us to chat!

When we arrived, baby Evie was just waking up. After she was fed, we headed out the door to a pumpkin farm. Caroline was excellent navigating the roads. Everything is farm fields and highways out there!

We were so impressed with this farm. There were no showy animals that didn't belong like in Illinois! They had a mini playground, John Deere toys to ride around in, and the best apple cider around!

The kids each chose a mini pumpkin. Aunt Caroline took some fantastic pictures, these are not them! I'm still learning!

Afterwards, Caroline took us to downtown Ann Harbor. We ate at a cute little place Caroline suggested.
The kids were promised ice-cream afterwards, so we had to stop at the grocery store for ice-cream sandwiches. Then we headed to Caroline's place and just hung out. Everyone was exhausted. Baby Evie loved watching my kids play. And much to Caroline's chagrin, she loved our Barney videos!

We brought our air mattress and Chris and the boys slept on the mattress while Abby and me slept on the couch. A great day overall!
