Road Trip- Day 3

The kids did great the second night as well. I ended up sleeping in bed with Josh and Abby and Chris was on the air mattress with Jack.

This morning, we had a fantastic selection of donuts. At least my kids had something to contribute here ;)

The rest of the morning we just hung around and played with the kids. After getting ready and packed up, we took the kids to get haircuts. Darrell and Sam got one as well. Abs sat this one out.

We then went to lunch at Skyline Chili. I had never been here before and really wanted to see what it was all about. Their known for their spaghetti noodles with chili on top and cheese. It was pretty good! The kids just had some fries and a hot dog.

Afterwards, we said our goodbyes and hit the road. The kids were asleep within minutes. That made for a peaceful 2 hours! Once they were up, it was my job to keep them happy. One wanted this, the other wanted that. Josh wanted to hold my hand. Then Abby was angry and wanted a hand to hold, too. Do you know how difficult that is?!

The wind turbine thingys in Indiana pleased them for awhile. Then we made a stop at McDonald's for some ice-cream. I'm not gonna lie, the rest of the ride home was filled with crying, angry children.

It felt good to pull into our driveway!

Overall, we couldn't have been more pleased with our vacation. It was so great to visit with the Foltz's, and we can't wait for them to come and see us!
