End of Summer Fun

I can't believe summer break is coming to a close.  It didn't really feel like summer with the cooler weather.  Today was actually a super hot day, so we decided to go to Lindy's Landing for lunch with our friends.

The kids started building right away.  They even found some lily pads to put in their "lake".

 We had some lunch, watched some interested demonstrations on the water, and had fun splashing around.

The kids even tried fishing for the first time.  And they each caught a fish!!!  Of course, they put it in a bucket to look at it and then released each one.  They were so excited!

What a perfect way to spend the last day of summer break!
